Mark was introduced to Heavy Civil construction very early in life as his father and grandfather are both civil engineers and former Executive Directors with the Colorado and Idaho Departments of Transportation respectively . He began his construction career while attending high school and college with a large heavy civil contractor based in Colorado. This gave him hands-on experience and knowledge of nearly every task imaginable, including some not too glamorous. Mark relocated to California in 1990 bringing with him the field, project management, estimating, and corporate management skills necessary to successfully assemble and direct project management, project construction and project procurement teams on countless numbers of public and private projects, ranging in value from a few thousand dollars to over two hundred million. His management approach, which focuses on personnel development, project planning, safety, timely delivery, cost controls, and recognition of the clients’ needs, has contributed to his professional achievements and is a real asset to the Blois team.
