2024 Annual AGC America Conference
Congratulations to the Blois team for once again being recognized nationally as having one of the best safety programs in its class! During the 22nd Annual AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards, Blois was honored by receiving 2nd place. Thank you to our employees for all the hard work and dedication you put into safety.
2023 Harry Eckstein Safety Professional of the Year Award
Tod Decker, with Blois Construction since 1999, has served as Safety Manager since 2006. He oversees company-wide safety compliance, training, policies, and performance metrics. He leads accident investigations, chairs the EHS Committee, and promotes safety culture through internal planning and external partnerships, ensuring best practices at all job sites.
2023 Milestone Awards
Blois proudly honors team members for their years of service. 2022 1,000,000 Hours No Lost Time
We celebrated a major milestone—five years (1,000,000 hours) without a lost time injury—highlighting our strong safety culture. The event featured a BBQ, remarks from Jim Blois, and an impactful leadership session by Eric Anderton of the “Construction Genius” podcast. We look forward to continued success at Blois.

2021 Annual Safety Awards Dinner
Blois proudly recognized outstanding safety performance for 2021. Honorees included Eliseo Sanchez (Individual Award) and Guadalupe Perez (Honorable Mention). Top Crews recognized for their safety leadership were led by Carmen Ramirez, Cesar Hernandez, and Damon Espinoza. Each demonstrated exceptional commitment to safety innovation and best practices throughout the year.
2020 Blois Wins National Safety Excellence Award
We are proud to announce that Blois has once again been recognized nationally as having the best safety program in its class! After being named Best in Class for California, we advanced as one of just three finalists to present before a panel of judges in Las Vegas.At the 21st Annual AGC Construction Safety Excellence Awards, we earned 1st Place, a tremendous honor that reflects the outstanding commitment of every team member.

2019 Stand Tall Safety Awards
Each year, we take time to recognize crews & individuals for our “Stand Tall” program. This year’s individuals were recognized for their ability to safely and successfully perform work on high-hazard projects. 2018 Safety Awards
Our internal “Stand Tall” safety program honors individuals and crews for addressing hazards and promoting safety. Our 2018 winners were recognized for their efforts on high-hazard projects: First Place: Carmen Ramirez, Second Place: Javier Ramirez, Third Place: Juan Landeros, and Individual Safety Effort: Jose Alvarado.

2016 AGC of America “Excellence in Safety Awards”
As a result of the 1st place award in California, Blois was formally recognized for its safety practices at the Associated General Contractors of America’s Annual National Convention. We were awarded 1st place and recognized nationally with a Safety Excellence Award. President Jim Blois, Safety Manager Tod Decker, and Superintendent Jose Castellanos presented to a panel of top safety professionals from the US Navy, US Army, Intel, and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.

After winning 1st place in California, Blois Construction was nationally recognized at the 2017 AGC Annual Convention in Las Vegas, earning 1st place in its category for Construction Safety Excellence.
